Who is Paris Crayton III?


He is an award winning playwright, screenwriter, actor, and director whose work excavates the complexities of trauma, resilience, faith, memory, and the Black experience with emotional precision and theatrical daring. Named one of ArtsATL’s “30 Under 30” and an Atlanta Journal Constitution “Artist to Watch,” Crayton has been praised by critics as “a powerful dramatist” and “one of the most important playwrights of our time.” His work is known for blending raw humanity, lyrical dialogue, and unflinching examinations of family, identity, and survival.

Crayton’s plays have been presented, developed, or workshopped by Geffen Playhouse, Classical Theatre of Harlem, NewYorkRep, SgPro Studios, Orlando Shakes, Congo Square Theatre Company, Rising Sage Theatre, and numerous festivals and institutions across the country.
